Zimbabwe is gearing up to host the 2025 Inaugural Competitiveness Summit, scheduled to take place from February 19 to 20 at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair in Bulawayo.

The summit, themed “Building Sustainability Towards Enhanced Productivity and Competitiveness in Zimbabwe,” aims to provide a platform for stakeholders to engage in robust discussions on competitiveness gaps and potential policy interventions.

According to the National Competitiveness Commission, globalization has removed national borders, making it imperative for countries to focus on competitive advantage rather than comparative advantage.

This shift enables countries to capitalize on opportunities and benefits in trade, including economic growth, sustainable development, job creation, and improved living standards.

The summit is set to have His Excellency, President Dr. Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, as the guest of honor. The event is expected to draw a diverse range of attendees, including government ministries, parastatals, business member organizations, industry associations, company executives, development partners, and academia.
