Mzoe 7 Returns with Heartfelt New Single “Ungamthanda”

Bulawayo-born Afropop sensation, Paul Mzobanzi Mlauzi, better known as Mzoe 7, has released his new single, titled “Ungamthanda.”
In an interview with SkyzMetro FM, Mzoe 7 shared the inspiration behind the song, revealing it stems from the often painful reality of one-sided love. He explained how the song explores the emotional complexities of loving someone who may not feel the same way in return.
“It’s a love song,” Mzoe 7 explained, “but it’s also a warning. Not just for romantic love, but for all kinds of love. Even if I love you like a brother or sister, the message is the same, you can love someone deeply, but they might not always love you back in the same way. You can pour your heart out, but don’t automatically expect the same in return.”
Mzoe 7 highlighted the importance of supporting local artists. He thanked those who have always stood by him and urged them to support other artsists as well.
“I’m so grateful to everyone who has supported a boy from Entumbane,” Mzoe 7 said. “Thank you all so much. Please keep supporting me, keep the love coming. But I also want to ask, please notice other artists too. We have amazing talent right here in Bulawayo like Msiz’kay, Asaph, Manin9, Dot.6ix, and so many more. When they release music, show up for them like you showed up for me.”
Mzoe 7 has made strides in his musical career, achieving both national and international recognition. His impressive list of accolades includes the Male Artist of the Year award at the Bulawayo Arts Awards (BAA) in 2022, and the Best Dance/House/Kwaito award at this year’s PPC Zimbabwe Music Awards (PPC Zima), among others.
