The Zimbabwe Chevrons begin their One Day International (ODI) series against Ireland today at Harare Sports Club, looking to redeem themselves after a recent test match defeat.

The series will see the return of senior players Craig Ervine and Sikandar Raza. Ervine rejoins the squad after missing the one-off Test match in Bulawayo due to a family emergency. Raza also returns, fresh off his success with the Dubai Capitals, where his quickfire 34 runs from 12 balls helped secure their maiden International League T20 title.

Zimbabwe will be looking to improve their record against Ireland, having won only 8 of the 22 ODIs played between the two sides. They head into the series following a 63-run loss to Ireland in the recent Test match held at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo.

Meanwhile Zimbabwe Cricket has announced that Canada will tour Zimbabwe for three ODIs against Zimbabwe A. These matches will be played at Takashinga Sports Club.
