The countdown has begun for COP 15 ZIMBABWE, a global wetlands conservation conference set to take place from July 23-31, 2025, in Victoria Falls.

The event will bring together leaders, policymakers, scientists, and environmental advocates to discuss strategies for the protection and sustainable use of wetlands. During a recent venue tour, Ramsar Convention Secretary General, Dr. Mumba Musonda, invited participants to join the conference.

“The grounds of the hotel here, and some of the structures, the renovations that will be done, I am just really amazed at how stunning this place is, how big actually it is. It has hosted many other big conferences from the region and internationally.”

“So, we are bringing the world here to Victoria Falls. I’m looking forward to inviting you to come and participate in this amazing COP15 convention on wetlands,” said Musonda.

Victoria Falls, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Ramsar Wetland City, will serve as the backdrop for discussions on biodiversity conservation and sustainability.

Registration is open from February 14 to June 30, 2025, with policymakers, conservationists, and environmental enthusiasts encouraged to participate.
