The Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) has opened registration for June and November O-Level and A-Level exams.
In a statement, ZIMSEC confirmed that exam fees are set in US dollars, with private candidates and those from private schools required to pay the full amount. A government subsidy is available only for candidates from public schools, local authority schools, and non-profit mission schools.
O-Level candidates will pay USD 24 per subject, with the government covering USD 13, leaving candidates to pay USD 11 per subject. A-Level candidates will pay USD 48 per subject, with a USD 26 subsidy, making their contribution USD 22 per subject.
The subsidy applies to up to 7 subjects for O-Level and 4 subjects for A-Level, but does not cover retakes. Payments can be made in rands or ZiG in correspondence with the interbank exchange rate.
