Commissioner Vongai Palmer Guwuriro Pledges to Foster Independent Judiciary

Commissioner Vongai Palmer Guwuriro of the Judicial Services Commission (JSC) has reaffirmed her commitment to promoting an independent and accountable judiciary in Zimbabwe.

Speaking after her swearing-in ceremony at State House recently, Commissioner Guwuriro emphasized the importance of creating an environment where the judiciary can operate freely, without undue influence or interference.

“As a commissioner for the Judicial Service Commission one of our function as a commission is to promote and facilitate an environment where the judiciary operates in an environment that enhances it’s independence and accountability to the people of Zimbabwe from whom we derive our authority from.

So my role will be to ensure that I foster such an environment in a manner that builds public confidence in the judiciary,” said Guwuriro

As a key player in the JSC, Commissioner Guwuriro’s role is crucial in ensuring that the judiciary is accountable to the people of Zimbabwe. Her pledge to foster an independent judiciary is in line with the JSC’s mission to promote transparency, accountability, and independence in the administration of justice.
