Bulawayo’s Eziko Theatre Lab to Celebrate 16th Anniversary

Eziko Theatre Laboratory, an arts platform dedicated to promoting established artists by providing performance opportunities, is set to celebrate its 16th anniversary on 28 February 2025 at Nkulumane Hall.
Speaking to Skyz Metro FM reporters, Eziko Theatre Lab Coordinator Ndumiso Ndodo, popularly known as MC Nduzza, said the celebrations mark a rebirth for Eziko, introducing new changes aimed at boosting the arts sector in the region.
“This time around, we are celebrating our 16th anniversary, and we have changed everything completely, hence the theme, ‘Rebirth.’ The setup is different. We have new directors, a new coordinator, and a new administrator who will be paraded soon. From now on, all Eziko editions will have different themes and will run four times a month,” said Ndondo.
He added that over the past 16 years, Eziko Theatre Lab has played a key role in shaping Bulawayo’s arts scene, nurturing many popular artists.
Dubbed Eziko Theatre Laboratory Rebirth, the event will feature dance groups, musicians, poets, and leading figures in the arts industry.
Founded in 2009 by award-winning arts director and Nkulumane MP Honourable Desire Moyo, Eziko continues to provide artists with a platform for performance and constructive critique to refine their craft.
