Joshua Nkomo Scholarship Opens Applications for 2025 Intake

The Joshua Nkomo Scholarship is inviting all eligible students to apply for the national scholarship program, which aims to help students achieve their academic goals. Applications are open from 2 to 31 March 2025.
The scholarship, funded by Econet through the Higher Life Foundation, offers financial assistance for both national and international students to pursue undergraduate degrees in Zimbabwe. To be eligible, applicants must be under the age of 21 and have achieved a minimum of 14 points in their 2024 Advanced Level results.
In addition to academic excellence, successful applicants will be required to engage in community service and attend mandatory leadership development programs throughout the course of their studies. This initiative, spearheaded by the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, aims to develop well-rounded students who will become active and contributing members of their communities.
The scholarship program targets academically gifted students from primary to university level who face financial barriers.
Seventy percent of the scholarships are allocated to students pursuing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) studies, with the remaining 30% reserved for other disciplines. The Joshua Nkomo Scholarship supports thousands of students each year, helping to create opportunities for brighter futures.
