Amai’s Traditional Cookout Competition Kicks Off in Harare

The 2025 Amai’s Traditional Provincial Cookout Competitions began today in Harare, led by Tourism and Hospitality Industry Minister Hon. Barbara Rwodzi. The initiative, spearheaded by First Lady Dr. Auxillia Mnangagwa, celebrates Zimbabwe’s culinary heritage and promotes local gastronomy.

The Harare event has attracted a diverse range of participants, including individuals with disabilities, community members, students, and professional chefs. Contestants are competing for the top prize, aiming to qualify for the National Finale on May 25, 2025.

Running from March 19 to May 25, the competition promotes inclusivity by welcoming participants from all backgrounds, including men and individuals with disabilities. It will expand to other provinces, with dates to be announced in due course.
