The Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) Company has announced plans to develop a convention center, a three-star hotel, and high-end retail shops in Bulawayo, as part of its efforts to contribute to the city’s economic growth.

Speaking at the Bulawayo Metropolitan Provincial Investment Indaba in Bulawayo yesterday, ZITF Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Innocent Tshuma, revealed that these projects are part of the company’s broader master plan, which includes the construction of a hotel and shopping mall.

Tshuma emphasized the importance of partnerships to achieve these goals, which are expected to create thousands of direct and indirect jobs in Bulawayo.

He further stated that ZITF aims to play a key role in the city’s regeneration by driving investment, growth, and trade.

The Bulawayo Investment Indaba, which began on Wednesday and ends on Thursday, has brought together government officials, key stakeholders, and industry leaders, including the Confederation of Zimbabwe Industries, International Trade, the Bulawayo City Council, and the National University of Science and Technology, to discuss investment opportunities.
