President of Botswana, Advocate Duma Gideon Boko, has arrived in Zimbabwe for a three-day State Visit, underscoring the growing bilateral cooperation between the two nations.
President Boko was warmly welcomed by President Emmerson Mnangagwa, and accompanied by Vice Presidents, Cabinet Ministers, Service Chiefs, and members of the Diplomatic Corps.
The key highlight of the visit is the 5th Zimbabwe-Botswana Bi-National Commission (BNC) session, co-chaired by the two Presidents. This platform, established in 2018, aims to advance cooperation in various sectors.
President Boko will also officially open the 66th Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) in Bulawayo on Thursday 23 April.
Held under the theme ‘Connected Economies, Competitive Industries,’ the ZITF will showcase Africa’s growing economic opportunities and partnerships.
President Mnangagwa welcomed President Boko’s presence at the ZITF, noting that the event provides a significant platform for businesses to explore new markets, share innovations, and forge partnerships that will drive economic growth across Southern Africa.
