Mahachi Named Highlanders Players’ Player For April

Kudakwashe Mahachi has been named Highlanders’ Players’ Player of the Month for April, earning his first major individual honour since rejoining the club.

The experienced winger was recognised for a series of impressive performances for the Bulawayo giants and received a certificate plus a US$500 cash prize, sponsored by the Business Friends of Bosso.

Mahachi rejoined Highlanders ahead of the 2026 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season following a spell at Manica Diamonds and a reported successful trial with the club.

The former Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns player signed a one-year contract with his boyhood team as he looks to revive his career and has since been deployed at left-back under the technical setup.

His return marks a notable milestone more than a decade after leaving Highlanders.
