At least 11 Palestinians, including women and children, were killed and dozens more injured following Israeli air strikes across Gaza City early Thursday, according to medical sources and eyewitnesses.

Reports indicate that Israeli aircraft targeted residential buildings in the Sheikh Radwan and Tel al-Hawa neighbourhoods, as well as the Shati refugee camp.

The Hamas-run Civil Defence agency says those killed included Hamas commander Hassan Labad, his wife and three children.

The agency also reported that two children with disabilities and three women were among the dead.

Videos circulating on social media, which SkyzMetro FM News has not independently verified, appear to show people fleeing a burning building in Shati camp.

The Israeli military had not commented on the reported strikes at the time of publication, while emergency teams continue search-and-rescue operations in the affected areas.
