Nkayi United says it is making steady progress on its US$1 million investment pledge announced last year, with a focus on strengthening team operations and plans to construct a stadium in Nkayi.

Speaking to SkyzMetro FM, club president Dr Brilliant Ncube said part of the investment is currently being channelled towards team management and player salaries, while funds have also been reserved for the proposed stadium project.

Dr. Ncube noted that the project is expected to stimulate economic activity in Nkayi by attracting matches, visiting teams and supporters, a move that could also boost tourism in the district.
