Umculo wesichathamia/ Imbube milestone celebration

The imbube milestone celebration organised by Thobela Arts Foundation (T.A.F) took place recently at Black Umfolosi Enkundleni Center in Bulawayo aimed at promoting Ndebele music and culture.

Speaking to Skyz Metro FM, Mr Oscar Siziba the event organizer and the founder of Thobela Arts Foundation said this, I quote “ the turnout was amazing and I realized that people do love their culture as they came out to support this event” he also added that he believes in imbube fans hudrend percent.

Mr. Oscar Siziba also commended the audience turnout which he described as overwhelming.

Also speaking in an interview with Skyz Metro FM, Mr Nicholas Moyo, Executive Director of the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe commented on the event saying he loved the art that was portrayed by different groups, also he thanked the people for coming in numbers.

Mr N Moyo further applauded the event organizers Thobela Arts Foundation for such a big and fruitful event in the heritage of the Ndebele culture and lovers of Isichathamiya music.

The event hosted numerous groups some of which were performing for the first time. These included Ufasimba, abanqobi, Indosakusa teenagers, Ithokazi Lejongosi, ASA from Kami Prison, Ikwezi Lokusa, and others.

Peaople who attended the event wore cultural themed clothing.
