Bosso records first defeat of the season

Highlanders suffered their first defeat of the 2024 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season after losing 2-1 to Chicken Inn yesterday at Barboufields stadium.

Brian Muza put Chicken Inn in front in the 7th minute before Micheal Charamba doubled the lead in the 15th minute following a backpass mistake from Bosso.

Highlanders managed to pull one goal back in the 31st minute through Lynoth Chikuhwa. The hosts continued piling pressure and almost got an equalizer on the stroke of halftime but Chikuhwa’s effort came off the bar.

The loss saw Highlanders drop points but remained ontop of the league with 14 points, 1 point ahead of second placed Simba Bhora.
