Govt Refutes False Reports on Funding for Small Businesses

The government through the Ministry of Industry and Commerce has issued a statement clarifying false information circulating on social media regarding funding for small and medium-sized businesses.

The ministry has denied reports that it is partnering with the World Bank and IMF to provide funds and operating capital to SMEs across the country.

Yesterday, the ministry took to its official social media channel to set the record straight, urging the public to disregard the false information being spread on social media and other unofficial platforms.

Reiterating that its official social media handle, @Min-of-IC, is the only reliable source of information regarding its activities and initiatives.
