President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa has conferred the prestigious title of National Hero upon the late Retired General Michael Chaminuka, recognizing his unwavering dedication to Zimbabwe’s liberation.
The 62-year-old general passed away on July 13, 2024, at Borrowdale Trauma Center in Harare after a brief illness.
Zanu PF Chairperson Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri delivered the news to the Chaminuka family on Thursday yesterday, acknowledging the general’s lifelong commitment to the country’s freedom.
General Chaminuka will be laid to rest on a date to be announced.
