Man City starts season with victory over Chelsea

Manchester City kicked off the 2024-25 English Premier League season with a convincing 2-0 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge yesterday.

Erling Haaland, celebrating his 100th appearance for the club, opened the scoring in the first half. Mateo Kovacic added a second goal to seal the victory for City in the late stages of the game.

Meanwhile, new Liverpool manager Arne Slot enjoyed a successful debut as his team defeated Ipswich 2-0 with Diogo Jota and Mohammed Salah scoring the goals for Liverpool.
