President in China for FOCAC Summit

President Emerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa has arrived in China, where he is set to attend the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) summit in Beijing.
President Mnangagwa was seen off at the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport yesterday by Vice Presidents Constantino Chiwenga and Kembo Mohadi, Cabinet Ministers, Service Chiefs and senior Government officials.
The summit, themed “Joining Hands to Advance Modernisation and Build a High-Level China-Africa Community with a Shared Future,” will take place from the 4th to the 6th of September 2024.
Chinese President Xi Jinping is scheduled to officially open the summit and deliver a keynote address, outlining new ideas and proposals for building a high-level community with a shared future between China and Africa.
The summit agenda and program also include the eighth China-Africa Entrepreneurs’ Conference.
