The milestone event, held yesterday, was attended by Vice President Kembo Mohadi and key stakeholders in the country’s telecommunications sector.

The launch marks the beginning of a broader rollout aimed at enhancing connectivity across Zimbabwe. “It is imperative that we prepare our children and future generations with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in this digital age,” he said.

NetOne’s 5G rollout includes 20 towers in Southern Harare and 14 base stations nationwide. The improved infrastructure is set to deliver faster internet speeds and better access to digital resources, particularly benefiting the education sector by equipping students with the tools needed to lead in an increasingly digital world.
