Man Sentenced to 40 years in prison after luring victim with false job offer and raping her

A 31-year-old man from Bulawayo has been sentenced to 40 years in prison after luring a 19-year-old woman to his home under the false pretext of offering her a job teaching her to fix electronic gadgets.

Upon her arrival, the victim waited outside with the accused for the gadgets to arrive. As the evening grew late, he convinced her to enter the house, claiming they could wait inside. Once inside, the man began sexually assaulting her, eventually raping her three times over the course of the night.

In the morning, he forced her to take a bath before ordering her to leave. The victim reported the incident to authorities, and the accused was swiftly arrested. The National Prosecuting Authority has warned the public to be cautious of deceptive promises of employment.
