As the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League 2025 season approaches, the transfer market is abuzz with activity, with clubs reshuffling their squads and players seeking new challenges.
Highlanders FC, celebrating its 99th anniversary this year, has confirmed the departure of Marvelous Chigumira following the expiration of his contract. Similarly, FC Platinum has parted ways with their captain, gold medalist Raison Pavari, and midfielder Donald Teguru.
Meanwhile, the Northern Region Soccer League champions, dubbed the “new kids on the block,” have been the most active in the transfer market. Strengthening their squad significantly, they have signed several notable players, including Karma Billiat, Walter Musona, Godknows Murwira, Tymon Machope, and Mtholisi Msebe, among others.
Simba Bhora, the reigning Castle Lager Premier Soccer League champions, are also making moves after losing 13 players. The club has appointed Joel Luphahla as head coach to replace Tonderayi Ndiraya and added Barnabas Mtuchi, Trevor Mavhunga, and Carlos Mukumbira to their roster in an effort to rebuild their squad.
The transfer market activity promises an exciting season ahead as clubs aim to position themselves for success.
