Gain Cash and Carry Honors Winners at Ekusebhokisini/Zvirikumubhokisi Promotion Prize-Giving Ceremony

Gain Cash and Carry held its Ekusebhokisini/Zvirikumubhokisi promotion prize-giving ceremony yesterday at the Gain Cash and Carry Express branch on Old Khami Road, honoring their pledge to customers.
With 83 retail outlets across Zimbabwe, Gain Cash and Carry divided the prizes into three categories: Northern Region, Southern Region, and Lowveld. The prizes included a first prize of a Mazda T35, a second prize of a 4KVA solar system with installation, and a third prize of 1,000 broiler chicks along with feed, offering customers exciting opportunities to win significant rewards.
In an interview, Carl Kusaba, the Head of Marketing at Gain Cash and Carry, explained that the draws for the Ekusebhokisini/Zvirikumubhokisi promotion were conducted electronically and streamed live on their Facebook page. To be eligible for the draw, customers had to spend a minimum of $100 during the promotional period, which ran from November 21, 2024, to December 31, 2024.
” If you spend a minimum of 100 USD in any of our Gain cash and carry stores, you would qualify to go into the promotion, the prizes that were on offer were 3Madza T35 trucks , 3 KVA solar kit and 3 by one thousand broiler chicks and full feed,
” We just broke the country into three , Northern, southern and Lowveld , so we had 3 winners in each region to make it 9 winners in total , so today we gave away a madza T35 to our winner in southern region, 4KVA solar kit , and one thousand chicks and full feed to the winner,” said Carl Kusaba
Kusaba emphasized the transparency of the process, ensuring that all participants had an equal chance of winning one of the exciting prizes.
” Our draws were electronic, we did our draws on Friday at our head office, it was live on our Facebook page , we streamed it and internal audit , external audit , suppliers , customers were there to witness the draw, ” he added
The Southern Region winner, 76-year-old Enias Tadie expressed his joy upon receiving the Mazda T35 truck, calling it a “blessing from heaven.” He shared that the truck would greatly benefit his farm and he was thrilled to have won such a valuable prize.
” It is a blessing from heaven , you see around 83 branches and you’re picked up for the prize, you’ve got to be joyful and very proud. This is great , tomorrow we’ll be busy , we’ll be carrying stock feeds to the farm using the truck, ” said Tadie
Other Southern Region winners included Pardon Matavira, a 27-year-old grocery and retail business owner, who won 1,000 broiler chicks with feed. Chipo Chibungari, the second prize winner, who received a 4KVA solar system with installation, was not present at the ceremony.
In 2023, Gain Cash and Carry had only three winners across Zimbabwe. However, in 2024, the company significantly increased the number of winners to nine. The remaining winners from the Lowveld region will be announced in Chiredzi tomorrow, while the Northern region winners will receive their prizes in Harare on Friday. Gain Cash and Carry plans to double the number of winners next year, aiming to have at least one winner in each of their 83 nationwide stores.
