The Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) 2025 regional roadshows commenced on Friday in Johannesburg, marking the start of a campaign to foster new partnerships and promote Africa’s economic leadership. The inaugural engagement meeting focused on attracting key players to ZITF 2025.

ZITF Chairman, Busisa Moyo, highlighted Zimbabwe’s strategic push to industrialize by seeking partnerships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) for machinery procurement.

He emphasized South Africa’s crucial role in this endeavor, given its substantial equipment resources, noting that the Zimbabwean private sector is prioritizing retooling to modernize its aging machinery.

Moyo also underscored the vital role of women in driving economic growth and emphasized cultural tourism as a key element of Zimbabwe’s heritage and investment attraction strategy.

Furthermore, the roadshow aims to identify new trade opportunities to strengthen regional economic partnerships within Southern Africa.

The next regional roadshow will take place on Wednesday 5 March at Lusaka in Zambia.
