Fugitive Hwange Murder Suspect Captured in Bulawayo

Learnmore Nyoni, a 24-year-old man wanted for a murder committed in Hwange in March 2024, has been arrested by the Zimbabwe Republic Police in Bulawayo.
Zimbabwe Republic Police Provincial Spokesperson for Bulawayo, Assistant Inspector Nomalanga Msebele, confirmed that Nyoni was apprehended in March this year after residents tipped off the authorities about his hiding location in Esigodweni, Cowdray Park.
Nyoni had been on the run for over a year, evading capture by fleeing to Zambia before returning to Zimbabwe.
Inspector Msebele commended the diligent work of the police force and highlighted the crucial role of community collaboration in bringing Nyoni to justice. She emphasized the effectiveness of the ZRP’s extensive network and the positive impact of citizens providing information to law enforcement.
