Matabeleland North and South to Host Amai’s Traditional Cookout Competitions Tomorrow

Matabeleland North and South provinces is set to host the provincial Amai’s Traditional Cookout Competitions tomorrow from 8am.

According to recent reports from the Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, the competitions will run concurrently at Inyathi and Esikhoveni Training Centres.

The ministry said the competitions will feature professional chefs, tertiary students, individuals with disabilities, and members of local communities all showcasing Zimbabwe’s culinary tourism potential and celebrating its cultural heritage.

The competitions are part of an initiative spearheaded by First Lady Dr. Auxillia Mnangagwa, which has been touring provinces. The most recent stop was in the San Community of Makhulela Village, Matabeleland South.

Provincial winners will proceed to the national finals slated for May 25. The event promises to highlight Zimbabwe’s culinary diversity and creativity.
