The Ministry of Health and Child Care has warned members of the public against a fraudulent recruitment advertisement circulating on social media, which claims to be inviting applications for Trainee Dental Therapists through a WhatsApp number.

In a public notice issued on Tuesday, the ministry said the advertisement, which directs applicants to submit their details via WhatsApp and gives a deadline of 10 June 2026, is fake and has no connection to the ministry.

The ministry stressed that it does not recruit staff or receive applications through WhatsApp. It said all official recruitment notices are advertised only through mainstream public print media and the ministry’s verified communication platforms.

Authorities urged the public to disregard the advertisement and avoid sharing personal information with the individuals behind it. The ministry warned that the scam is intended to defraud unsuspecting members of the public and constitutes a criminal offence.
